Originally from Omaha, NE, Robert received his undergraduate from the University of Northern Colorado where he received a BS in Criminal Justice. After several years of being a college football coach, Robert started his insurance career with Farmers Insurance, handling claims in 1992. He advanced his insurance claims knowledge for the next 15 years with AAA, Safeco, and Metlife. In 2012 Robert had an opportunity to change his career path and join a self insured workers comp program in the state of California managing a successful Return-To-Work program. From there he had the opportunity to be on the ground floor with a brand new company call FreedomCare as their National Sales Director promoting ACA compliant insurance programs. An amazing opportunity that changed the direction of his life was when he had the vision in 2017 to partner with a friend who ran a regional third party administrator (SBMA) and start Innovative Health Insurance Advisors. Since this time Innovative Health Insurance Advisors has been able to service the health insurance broker community with creative and innovative programs allowing brokers them to meet the needs of their clients. Robert and his team strive every day to listen, learn and advance their service and program to meet the ever change needs of broker partners and their employer groups.
